Gallery Showing – Double Six Gallery’s 11th Annual Mount Taylor Exhibit… March 2016

A photo I took of purple alpenglow on snow-dusted Mount Taylor, of Grants, New Mexico, just the night before I did a shoot of the gallery’s interior and various works, was accepted immediately upon presentation and suggested to be not only displayed amongst their other artworks, but specifically as soon as this exhibit got underway.  The image is a framed 30×20 matte print, and was posted for sale with 25% of the proceeds going to the gallery’s future projects and upkeep.

In the Great Fall Hikes edition, on page 64, is my photograph is my photograph taken on the Booth Creek Trail, outside of Vail, of a lightly snow-dusted aspen forest in full fall color, backlit by the sun.  Magazine editors sought me out after discovering my image on Panoramio.  It can be found on the magazine’s website at http://www.5280.com/travelandoutdoors/magazine/2014/08/gilded-trails?page=4.

Runner-Up in the CSU Natural Resources 2014 Photo Contest                           Spring 2014

World-renowned landscape photographer John Fielder was the lead judge on the review panel for this photo competition in the genre of landscapes and wildlife.  There were 3 winning places and 20 runners-up (one of which was myself).  My photograph was of the light-dappled Highland Mary Lakes and their surrounding mountains, near Silverton, in Southwest Colorado.  It is now a canvas print, hanging in the CSU Warner College of Natural Resources.
